Eco Printing is a form of natural dyeing, where we take you through a process that transfers the colours from plant material to paper or fabric. Eco Printing workshops at the Essential Garden allow you to select your fabric, plant materials, create your design and take home the finished piece at the end of the day. The workshop price of $110 includes all equipment, tools, refreshments and lunch. Eco Printing is more environmentally friendly compared to modern dyeing methods as few, if any, chemicals are used during the process and we only use natural fabrics. A win for you and the planet! On this workshop you can choose two items to work on, from a selection of silk scarves, tote bags or linen tea towels. You will also have an opportunity to explore print-making, using stamps, stencils and natural plant material on embossed paper. The workshop incorporates a visit to our herbal display garden to learn about and collect various dye-friendly plants, herbs and leaves. As this is a new workshop, we are taking expressions of interest intially, then release some workshop dates during 2023.
